Harrah’s to debut world’s first skill-based gambling machines Wednesday

GameCo Inc. will debut the country’s first skill-based gambling machine Wednesday at an event at Harrah’s Resort.

The event, which starts at 10 a.m., will showcase “Danger Arena,” a first-person action video game gambling machine.

Payouts will be determined by a player’s skill.

“It’s tremendously exciting to be first-to-market in an industry effort to attract the next generation of players to the casino floor, and we’re thrilled to be launching with Caesars in Atlantic City,” Blaine Graboyes, CEO and co-founder of GameCo, said in a statement. “Together with Caesars we’re planning an historic rollout and marketing campaign that provides gamers with the opportunity to gamble playing video games at the casino.”

Caesars will feature 21 units in high-traffic, prominent locations in all three of its Atlantic City properties. The company owns Bally’s Atlantic City, Harrah’s and Caesar’s Atlantic City.
