Atlantic City’s casinos are hitting a major milestone at the perfect time. Officials with the city will mark the 40th anniversary of casino gambling as it prepares to open two of its five shuttered casinos this summer.
The seven open casinos have been doing better in a smaller market with less competition, but Wall Street and industry analysts seem confident the new Hard Rock Hotel and Casino will grow the market, and they hope the Ocean Resort Casino can do the same.
The owner of the Showboat, which is now only running as a hotel, is considering bringing the casino back to the property as well.
