Pink brought in a total of 50,000 people to the beach and Boardwalk Wednesday night, Mayor Don Guardian said. Guardian said he heard leading up to Pink’s performance, there were 44,000 to 45,000 already on the beach, and another 5,000 were on the Boardwalk. “I know we had 44,000 to 45,000 tickets sold by the time the band went on before her. We had to have another 5,000 line the boardwalk,” Guardian said. Fans were lined up by 10 a.m. to see three-time Grammy award winner Pink take the stage Wednesday. But by 10 a.m. Thursday, there was only one person waiting in line to see country music act Brantley Gilbert for the second day of the beach concert series. Compared to last year’s beach concerts, Jimmy Buffet brought in 25,000 and Zac Brown Band brought another 20,000, according to Live Nation.
