New Jersey’s online gambling industry is now a little more competitive. Atlantic City’s Ocean Resort Casino officially rolled out its own gaming website. Ocean Resort Casino’s online gambling site is now live, nearly one month after the casino opened on the Boardwalk on June 27 — the same day the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City opened its doors to the public.
The website is through a partnership with GAN, an online gaming content and internet gambling software company. Through the website, guests enrolled in the casino’s Ocean Premier loyalty program can use and earn rewards on site and online. Studies have shown internet gaming may have adverse impacts on brick-and-mortar locations, but some gaming executives argue they attract a wider audience and increase revenue at land-based operations.
