The Casino Association of New Jersey (CANJ) underscored the positive November gaming revenue numbers released by the Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE). Increases in total gaming revenue, casino win, Internet gaming and sports betting strengthen Atlantic City’s transformation into the East Coast’s premier beachfront resort and business conference destination.
“The numbers released by the Division of Gaming Enforcement show that business and tourism in the resort remain on a very positive trajectory. Atlantic City is welcoming new visitors with world-class entertainment, sports betting and diversified offerings every day,” said Kevin Ortzman, president of the Casino Association of New Jersey. “November marks the sixth month in a row that total gaming revenue for Atlantic City improved over last year. With total casino gaming revenue up 6.5 percent compared to last year, Atlantic City is on a winning streak and is poised to have an outstanding year once again.”

Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality & Tourism at Stockton University. “The market is well poised for a strong finish for 2018, comfortably surpassing 2017 revenues, as it continues to provide distinctly memorable experiences for its guests.”
Atlantic City has experienced a renaissance in recent years. The introduction of legalized sports betting and new casino openings in June 2018 helped provide a boost in jobs, revenue and tourism this summer. The casino industry continues to work tirelessly to solidify the seaside resort’s comeback by diversifying Atlantic City’s offerings, as well as investing hundreds of millions of dollars in redevelopment projects and non-gaming services to attract new visitors. The industry’s efforts have advanced the revitalization of Atlantic City, transforming the city into a business conference destination and first-class resort that features great restaurants, entertainment and shopping.
