Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is one step closer to being ready to open its doors to the public on June 28. A 60-foot guitar, brought in as two pieces on trucks, was installed over several hours Saturday at the resort’s entrance at the end of South Virginia Avenue.
The sign was modeled after a Gibson Les Paul guitar. The guitar’s strings are working lights, and the body of the guitar features the hotel and casino’s logo on both sides as well as the resort’s name in white letters. A handful of onlookers walked into the area to watch the construction, but they were quickly escorted out by security.
This comes days after a 30-foot-tall sign, modeled after a Gibson Les Paul guitar, was installed Thursday at Route 30 and Virginia Avenue.
