The rush to open sportsbooks in Atlantic City is starting to resemble the beginning of a 100-meter dash. Instead of a starting gun, it’s football season that has ignited the sprint. The Golden Nugget will open for sports betting on Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. Ninety minutes later, Resorts Casino raises its window. This makes six of the eight planned sportsbooks that will be open. Three are in the marina district (Borgata, Golden Nugget, Harrah’s) and three are on the boardwalk (Bally’s, Ocean Resort, Resorts). The Hard Rock and Tropicana are still works in progress.
