CRDA signs $7 million in deals to bring larger acts to Atlantic City

The board of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority has entered into two public-private partnerships, costing up to $7 million, as it looks to attract larger events to Boardwalk Hall and the Convention Center. On Tuesday, the board approved the state agency spending up to $3 million to enter into an agreement with Comcast NBC-Universal and up to $4 million on an agreement with William Morris Endeavor Entertainment to bring “destination events” to the two properties. “We are excited to partner with WME/IMG and Comcast NBC Universal to further our mission and commitment to attract visitors by delivering exciting entertainment to Atlantic City across a broad range of events, many of which have never before been held in the city,” said Robert Mulcahy, chairman of the board.
