Comcast makes $3M deal to bring ‘destination events’ to Atlantic City

In the middle of a summer season that featured beach concert performances like Pink’s, the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority has reached two more deals – one with Comcast –to bring even more entertainment to Atlantic City. The board of the CRDA approved a $3 million deal with Comcast NBC Universal on Tuesday, according to the Press of Atlantic City, that tasks the Philadelphia-based media giant with bringing “destination events” to the resort town’s Boardwalk Hall and Convention Center. A second, separate agreement –valued at up to $4 million – with William Morris Endeavor Entertainment was also approved, the Press of A.C. said. WME-IMG has several subsidiaries – including the Miss Universe Organization purchased from President Donald Trump – that could add to the city’s entertainment offerings. WME-IMG also acquired the Ultimate Fighting Championship group last year.
