On behalf of the Casino Association of New Jersey, Inc., Robert Griffin, its President, made the following statement:
“We fully support New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s appointment of John Palmieri as the Executive Director of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA). Mr. Palmieri has demonstrated significant skill and experience in economic development and has successfully led redevelopment agencies in major cities like Boston, Providence, Charlotte and Hartford. Atlantic City is at a critical turning point and Mr. Palmieri is the right man to lead Atlantic City’s continued transformation into a world-class destination resort. We are also pleased that CRDA leadership will continue to include Susan Thompson who has provided for a strong beginning to the reorganized work of the agency. We are excited to work with Mr. Palmieri and his team to ensure that Atlantic City and its casino resorts remain a vibrant economic engine for the entire state of New Jersey.”
