Atlantic City, NJ – This October, Atlantic City’s casino industry will reaffirm its commitment to Breast Cancer Awareness Month by raising awareness, supporting research, and promoting the importance of early detection through various events and initiatives across the city.
This year marks the 26th anniversary of the Hard Rock PINKTOBER program supporting breast cancer awareness and research.
“Each October, Atlantic City casinos stand united with our employees, guests, and the greater community to raise awareness and show our support for those impacted by breast cancer,” said George Goldhoff, president, Casino Association of New Jersey (CANJ). “Breast cancer affects families across our communities, and Atlantic City casinos remain committed to supporting lifesaving research, promoting early detection, and helping ensure patients have access to the care and resources they need.”
According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers in the United States and around the world. Advancements in medical research and the growing emphasis on early screenings continue to improve outcomes, underscoring the importance of awareness and regular screenings. When detected early, survival rates are significantly higher, highlighting how crucial awareness efforts like those taking place this October are to the well-being of those who need it most.
